... "Not now, Kato!"
So if I don't get to reply to or promote some of your excellent posts and comments without huge delays, it's because I've been Kinja'd.

I literally just LOL'd so loud that people stuck their head around corners to give me a look.
I may or may not be at work, presently.
Every time I see one of these unintentional action pose pictures I think back to when I was a young kid and we tried to take intentional action hero poses while bouncing on the trampoline. This was before the advent of camera-phones, back in the day of "It takes film?" cameras.
None, not one, turned out even slightly heroic. We ended up with a bunch of blurry pictures of us making stupid faces. Our parents, they made scrap books.

Just realized I used "Kato" when I meant "Cato".
I love Peter Sellers.

Sellers was a damn genius.
Herbert Lom was right up there as a straight man in the Panther movies too.

The irony of a Kinja nibbled image in this thread is not lost on me.
HAHAHA!

I wish comedy still valued the comedic duo's. The straight man and the funny man. The fat man and the skinny man. The quartet of fools. And so on.
I think that modern comedy reflects the selfishness of our culture. The stand-up comic has become the "go to" format for edgy comedy these days while those attempt to capture the nature of humor as it was so relevant in the past end up going straight to DVD.

I've heard very good things about Tucker & Dale vs. Evil, but haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.

This is how I lead folks in that direction.
And the Marx Brothers.

Short attention spans bred the stand up.
Nobody wants a build up to the funny. They want to laugh now and move on to the next joke.
